Today, we had the privilege of hosting the Resilient Lady, a remarkable ship from Virgin Voyages, marking a significant milestone as it made its maiden call at our port. This special occasion was celebrated by a warm welcome from our Terminal Manager & PFSO, Alessia Calì, alongside Viviana Lombardo, the Equal Opportunities Councillor of the Municipality of Catania, and representatives from various port authorities.
The crew, led by Captain Sunderland Nicolas Abraham E., welcomed the delegation on board, and a traditional crest exchange ceremony took place, symbolizing the start of a lasting and fruitful partnership between Virgin Voyages and Catania.
The visit of the Resilient Lady is an important moment in the growth of Catania’s international relations within the cruise industry. It opens a new chapter, strengthening Catania's role as an essential port of call for major cruise lines.
