On April 4, Catania Cruise Port inaugurates the 2018 cruise season with the return of Costa Cruises, which will be present with as many as 19 calls and will allow passengers to start their journey at the local port again.
This year the terminal activity will register a trend reversal: there are 68 scheduled calls, and passengers will again exceed the 100,000 units.
This intense schedule is the result of the synergy between Catania Cruise Port, Global Ports Holding, the newly established Port Network Authority of the Eastern Sicily Sea and the Catania Municipality.
Global Ports Holding (GPH), a world leader in the cruise terminal sector, with a portfolio of 14 ports in 8 countries, more than 3,000 calls of all companies and over 7.5 million passengers handled, is the largest shareholder of the Catania Cruise Port.
The first call of the year will also be the occasion for celebrations for its Maiden Call: the arrival of the Costa Fascinosa, for the first time in the Sicilian port, will be celebrated on board through a Plaque Exchange ceremony.
