Catania Cruise Port is proud to announce the installation of a symbolic peace emblem on the windows of its terminal. This initiative, supported by the Rotary Club of Catania, underscores the port’s commitment to promoting unity, hospitality, and cultural integration.
As a vital gateway to the city of Catania, every year the Cruise Terminal welcomes approximately 250,000 passengers from diverse backgrounds. Reflecting the spirit of openness and dialogue, the peace emblem serves as a reminder that travel brings people together, fostering joy, connection, and harmony.

The collaboration with the Rotary Club of Catania highlights a shared vision of peace and unity, further reinforcing the port’s commitment to fostering positive connections.
“As part of our ongoing efforts, this year our Club has chosen to promote the Progetto Steli della Pace (Peace Stelae Project) of Rotary District 2110 for the 2024-2025 Rotary year, under the leadership of Governor Giuseppe Pitari. In line with the vision of the International President, this initiative aims to foster peace through a series of local projects, including the creation of monuments and installations in various forms, such as stelae, poles, murals, community gardens, peace paths, and more,” said the President of the Rotary Club of Catania, Avv. Laura Rosaria Bonaccorso. “Given the significance of this important project, we selected the Cruise Terminal as the ideal location to reach every passenger arriving in our city, with the port serving as both a gateway and a showcase for the city itself.”
Catania Cruise Port is poised for a significant year, with over 102 cruise calls expected from March to November. This steady growth highlights the port's increasing appeal as a prime Mediterranean destination, benefiting from its strategic location and the rich cultural experiences it offers to visitors. The port has witnessed a consistent upward trend in cruise traffic over recent years, attracting more international tourists. With its ongoing infrastructure improvements and capacity enhancements, Catania remains a key player in the cruise industry, ready to welcome an increasing number of vessels and travelers from around the globe.
